Moorlands Neurological Centre is being developed as a neurobehavioural hospital service for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury. The service will support and care for people who, because of their injury, have challenging and complex needs that are preventing them from making further progress with their lives and require a neurobehavioural rehabilitation programme.

The specialist clinical team will deliver a range of outcome based, clinical programmes working with a Transdisciplinary Team (TDT) model. The TDT will include Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Specialist Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

The new service is centrally located and is within easy travelling distance of Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, and Nottingham. The service is situated in beautiful rolling countryside and has various communal and therapy spaces.

Referrals

Referrals can be made by clinicians, commissioners or case managers, directly to the service or through our central referrals service.
