More information about Talbot House
Talbot House offers a smooth transition from a hospital environment, with extra support around meals and food choices, a more comprehensive group timetable and higher levels of assistance with community activities. This can then lead to a discharge to nearby Stockwood or Ellenbrook House which both offer a more multifaceted rehabilitation plan, or directly back into the community.
The Multidisciplinary Team is made up of the Registered Manager, Nurses, Support Workers, Therapists, Dietician, Occupational Therapist. Specially trained Support Workers are always available for general support, including overnight. The care approach aims to offer a high level of support, but also promotes self-care, management of the illness and independence.
All the bedrooms at Talbot House are ensuite. There are also a variety of shared spaces for the people to use, including lounge areas, dining areas and gardens.
