A Safe, Person-Centred Pathway to Independence
At Tydfil House, we believe everyone is unique. That’s why we create tailored care plans based on detailed assessments, supporting each resident’s needs, goals, and aspirations. Whether someone is preparing to return home or needs continued support in a residential setting, our team works closely with each individual to build confidence and life skills at a pace that suits them.
We promote dignity, choice and independence in everything we do, with a strong emphasis on community inclusion, meaningful daily activity, and mental and physical wellbeing. We work ‘with’ residents, nor ‘for’ them, empowering individuals to shape their own recovery journey.
What We Offer:
- Personalised care plans built around each person’s goals and needs
- Support with daily living, education, volunteering and community engagement
- Skilled multidisciplinary input, with close links to Ty Gwyn Hall
- Focus on outcomes including independence, confidence, and improved wellbeing
Facilities and Surroundings
Tydfil House has four comfortable bedrooms, including one en-suite room on the ground floor, all of which can be personalised to reflect each resident’s preferences. Shared living areas, including a communal lounge and kitchen, help residents develop independence while fostering a sense of community.
Located in the picturesque market town of Abergavenny, often called the “Gateway to Wales”, our home enjoys the views of local countryside and access to local shops, cultural activities, and transport links to Cardiff, Newport and beyond.
