BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (BYOD) POLICY – KEY FACTS

These are the key facts covering the main areas of the BYOD policy.  It is not a substitution for reading the BYOD policy in full.  Please read the full policy, which is available on the Intranet at https://vkn0shj3yrn.c.updraftclone.com/byod/full-policy/, prior to clicking “Agree” below.

  1. Anyone covered by the BYOD policy may use a personal mobile device for business purposes, provided that they click “Agree” below and adhere to the BYOD policy. The use of personal phones at work is governed by the local Mobile Phone usage policy for your site.
  2. No one is required to use their personal mobile device for business purposes. It is a matter entirely for each person’s discretion.
  3. We will install Mobile Device Management software called “Hexnode” on your phone that creates a secure area on your phone where Elysium applications can be stored. The contents of our systems and company data are our property. You should protect the device with biometric access controls, a pin code or strong password, however we will enforce a pin code on the work area of your phone.
  4. In the event of a lost or stolen device, or where a staff member believes that a device may have been accessed by an unauthorised person or otherwise compromised, the staff member must report the incident to the IT Department immediately. We reserve the right to monitor the device and to erase all Elysium content if necessary. You are responsible for notifying your mobile carrier immediately upon loss of a device.
  5. We do not intend to access, copy or use any personal data held on the device. If such access or copying occurs inadvertently, we shall delete any and all such personal data as soon as it comes to our attention.
  6. You must pay for your own device costs. By agreeing to the BYOD policy you acknowledge that you alone are responsible for all costs associated with the device and that you understand that your business usage of the device may increase your voice and data usage charges.
  7. You may use your mobile device to access company-owned resources provided within the Hexnode Application or Application Catalogue. This may include email, calendars, contacts, applications, and websites.
  8. If you breach any of the above policies you may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

By clicking “Agree” you are confirming that you have read, understood, and agree to these Key Facts and to all of the terms contained in the Bring Your Own Device Policy and that you undertake to comply with the conditions within it.
